Balochistan Government Announces Vacancy for Project Director in Ten Billion Trees Program

The Government of Balochistan, through the Forest & Wildlife Department, Quetta, has announced a vacancy for the position of Project Director (BPS-19) for the PSDP-funded project titled: “Ten Billion Trees Tsunami Programme Phase-1: Upscaling of Green Pak Programme (Forestry Component).” This is a contract-based position, initially for two years, extendable annually based on satisfactory performance until project completion.

Eligibility & Qualifications

1. Education & Experience:

• Option 1: Master’s degree in Forestry with 10 years’ professional experience, including at least 5 years at BPS-18 or above
• Option 2: B.Sc. degree in Forestry with 15 years’ professional experience, including at least 5 years at BPS-18 or above

2. Professional Experience:

• Proven experience in implementing public sector or donor-assisted forestry projects in an administrative capacity
• Familiarity with financial rules, budget procedures, and administrative processes

3. Skills & Competencies:

• Strong writing, report writing, data analysis, and presentation skills
• Good knowledge of project planning and implementation processes, particularly Government of Pakistan project planning procedures
• Experience as a Project Director in public sector forestry projects in Balochistan is considered an added advantage

Age Limit:

• Minimum: 35 years
• Maximum: 62 years (as of date of appointment)
